At the Bible in George-Yard, Lombard-Street: Printed and Sold by the Assigns of J. Sowle.. Two volumes. Epistle by William Penn from 1799 bound in back of volume two: "An Epistle, containing a Salutation to All Faithful Friends, a Reproof to the Unfaithful, and a Visitation to the Inquiring, in a Solemn Farewell to Them All in the Land of My Nativity." From the personal library of Quaker scholar and author, Rufus M. Jones. Moderately worn modern cloth binding, strongly damp stained, binding tight, bookplate, two library stamps "Library of Haverford College Rufus M. Jones Study" (did not circulate), first four pages damp stained at hinge and corners (does not affect text), large damp stain from top of page to last two hundred pages, else pages lightly browned with almost no foxing, 911 pages. Volume II: Worn and damp stained modern cloth binding, damp stain to bottom corner throughout (does not affect text), binding tight, pages bright and clean, same bookplate and stamps as volume one, small peeled area to rear endpaper, 916 pages plus text.
