Introduction by author, list of coloured plates, list of abbreviations, glossary of terms, selected bibliography and index. The text is illustrated with reproductions in black and white and colour of book covers and illustrations from within books. Navy blue coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, showing various book covers and bookmarks, with white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Quoting from the front fold over panel blurb " ... This is the first general work to be published which considers the entire history of industry teacher from the viewpoint of the book-collector, which is all the more surprising in that, although many homes do not possess antiques or objects d'art, almost everyone contains books." Rubbing to the lower book edges with softening of the back strip edges. Age toning and faint foxing to the text block edges; with offset tanning and faint foxing to the end pages. The first few and last few pages of the book are somewhat foxed. Creasing of the dustwrapper edges with rubbing of the panels.
