James Sowerby was an English Naturalist who published works on Botany, Mineralogy and Paleontology. His illustrations were included in James Edward Smith's "A Specimen of the Botany of New Holland Hand", "Mineral Conchology of Great Britain " and Curtis's "Flora Londinensis".
