Billy Sunday was a popular outfielder in baseball's Major Leagues in the 1880s whose conversion to Christianity led him to become the most popular and influential evangelist of the first 2 decades of the Twentieth Century. He socialized with Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, and counted both Herbert Hoover and John D. Rockefeller, Jr. as friends. It is estimated that he preached to more than one hundred million people face-to-face over the course of his lifetime. His wife "Ma" Nell Sunday was the love of his life and she also became his revival administrator, to great success.
