On Mar 30 2018, a reader said:
Wow, this was not an easy read at all. It was on my "to-read" list for at least 20 years, so I was determined to get through it. And it has a great story, but the level of description sometimes got to the point of being painful. This one is not recommended for casual fans of Arthurian or Merlin stories. It would probably be helpful to have a lot of knowledge of ancient Celtic history/mythology, as well. A lot of the references went over my head, but that did not detract - much - from the story.
