Cincinnati: Poe & Hitchcock. Good. 1867. Hardcover. Born and educated in Germany, Nast emigrated to America and became an influential Methodist minister in Cincinnati as well as in Germany. Printed in double columns. The cloth portion of the covers is a bit worn, and there is shelf wear to extremities. The leather spine is strong and tight as is the entire book. The contents are clean and and bright; half leather with leather spine with raised bands and gilt spine lettering as well as leather spine tips. Frontis portrait of Nast is a steel engraving. Previous owner name. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 760 pages .
