New York: Cassell & Co, 1886. Hardcover. Very Good. [4], 404, [8] p.; 19 cm. Dark green cloth with gilt-stamped spine and cover titles; black-stamped decoration of spine and front board. Blind-stamped publisher's emblem on back board with blind-stamped decoration. Green floral endpapers. Publisher's advertisements on final 8 unpaginated pages. First Edition. The author of this anonymously published novel, Anne Sheldon Coombs (1858-1890), was born in Albany, N.Y., and died in Brooklyn. Very scarce. In Very Good Condition: slightly cocked; edges rubbed; front endpaper scraped; clean and tight.
