New York: Sheldon and Company, 1872. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Gilt lettering on brown cloth, spine somewhat faded. All edges marbled. Color frontispiece of "Discoveries from 1492 to 1614 and the INDIAN NATIONS". 12mo, 388pp. "Illustrated by maps, and over 200 other engravings." Some foxing to end papers, not extending into the text, maps or other illustrations. Gilt lettering faded. Pencil notation on the second free end paper: "Remember me when this you see and do not forget me".
