About This Item
12mo. 1925 First ed.Overall excellent condition, very tight, some tanning on inside back endpapers, looks like a small nibble in the bottom of the last 12 pages, not obtrusive, previous owner name stamp on inside front endpaper. The gilt spine title is no longer visible.but the spine is not faded. This is a watershed book in investing and a must for the serious collector of early investing techniques. The author contrasts investing in bonds and why stocks should be a long term consideration for investing. While it is a small book, the ideas were revolutionary. It explains investment theory and practices from the Civil War to the turn of the century. This is a true first edition as there is a copyright date and electrotyped published date of December 1924. Macmillan published the book in 1925.This is a classic and rare book.
