Full calf binding with green morocco spine lettering piece. Spine title: "Nelson's Festivals". Front board detached. Rear board nearly detached. Title page and front free endpaper detached from rest of text block (but attached to front board) . Spine lettering piece chipped and creased. Chips to leather at corners and edges of boards. Internally good. Rubber stamp of the Littlemore Club on front free endpaper, together with the inscription "Littlemore Club Feb 8 1856". "I think myself so far obliged, by that Respect that is usually paid to the candid and charitable Reader, as to acquaint him, before he engages, with what he may expect from the following Treatise: The Design whereof is an Attempt to rescue the Festivals and Fasts of the Church of England [...]" - from the preface.; 8vo .
