The Last Copyright Date Is 1930 But Doubleday Published This Edition In 1956. This Set Probably Published In The Early 1960'S. The Books Are Bound Within Boards With Black Over One Quarter Red Cloth. Silver Lettering And Rules Within A Black Field On The Spine. The Books Have A Trace Of Edge Wear. The Jacket Of Volume One Has Minor Wear And A Tiny Tear At The Lower Front Edge. The Jacket Of Volume Has Minor Wear And A Tiny Tear At The Upper Spine.

Synopsis

Arthur Conan Doyle was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1859. A Study in Scarlet , his first novel and Sherlock Holmes story, was published in Beeton's Christmas Annual in 1887. He was the author of more than fifty novels, ranging in genre from science fiction to historical fiction. He died in 1930.
