Boston: Phillips, Sampson and Co., 1856. Full Leather. Very Good. With a New Life of the Poet and Notices--Critical and Biographical, by Allan Cunningham. Large, thick, very heavy book, chocolate brown thick leather with ornate embossed and raised design, gilt title with embellished "B" on front and back, raised spine, gilt lettering very fine, all edges gilt, beautiful marbled inside covers and adjacent end papers, 542 heavy lightly browned pages, very slight foxing throughout. Tissue-covered frontispiece of Burns, some dried flowers and news clipping also. Slight foxing to early end papers, illustration of children at play from engraving on title page. Very slight surface wear to all four front edges and all four back edges. Near Very Good.
