New York: Doubleday, Doran and Co., 1936. limited edition. Hardcover. Very good. 10 x 13 in. Limited edition of 750 copies, this is no. 246, signed on the limitation page by Rockwell Kent. Blue cloth boards with ivory paper spine labels. Bevelled edges, gilt upper text edge. Frontis plates in both volumes, full-pg plates throughout. Condition is VERY GOOD ; lacks the original and usually damaged slipcase. Covers have wear and rubbing, corners but not spine ends bumped, minimal shelf wear. Vol. 2 has some pale water discoloration to the front board, also to the front endpapers and half title pg, next pg, and then mildly to the margins only of the frontis. The discoloration to the board is a paler blue, rather than dark areas. The spines of both volumes are the darker, original blue. Spine labels have some edge wear and fading. Both bindings tight. Vol. 2 has a mild central ripple to the pages, and some mild foxing to the margins of the plates, also a water spot on the lower corner on about half the pgs (see photo).
