First Edition. Mack Reynolds's novel "Computer War" first appeared in print when it was serialized in two parts in the June and July 1967 issues of Analog Science Fact / Science Fiction magazine with cover art (June) and four interior illustrations by John Schoenherr. Published in 1967, Computer War is an allegory about the Vietnam War. The highly advanced Alphaland (a corporatist state along the lines of Mussolini's Italy) makes war on the technologically backward Betaland. And despite their technological supremacy it all goes terribly wrong.... Also includes "The Man from P.I.G." (novelette) by Harry Harrison and several others.
