Two volumes: the first United States Government printings of the Treaty of Saint Germain-en-Laye (September 15, 1919), and related Peace Treaties with the newly independent nations created after the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The Conditions of Peace with Austria (Treaty of Saint Germain-en-Laye) was issued as Senate Document No. 92 (66th Congress, 1st Session, 1919). Folio. 219pp. Complete as issued in the original publisher's cloth. Moderate soiling to the boards, very good. The related volume of Peace Treaties was issued as Senate Document No. 7 (67th Congress, 1st Session). Octavo. 448pp. Near fine. All of the Saint Germain-en-Laye Treaties were presented by Senate Majority leader Henry Cabot Lodge. A very good or better set, scarce in the trade.
