Boston: Houghton, Osgood, and Company, 1880. 347 pages. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine. Light scuffing and age-darkening throughout boards, black paint (?) stain about 1cm in length on edge of spine. A 1/2 inch by 1/8 inch chip missing from cloth of spine, light wear and some tearing to edges of spine. Binding is tight and secure. Front loose endpaper has been reattached, remains delicate; two inch blue paint mark on verso of endpaper. Tear near hinge of blank page facing the title page; page is brittle. Pages are bright and only lightly toned. A great reading copy of a first editon; emerse yourself in the comedic world of Henry James.. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good -/No Dj as Issued. Octavo.

Our Internet business began in 2001. Upon visiting the store, we can show and sell individual online titles upon request. Store hours are 10:00-5:30 (Tues.-Sat.) and 11:00-4:00 (Sun.).
