Los Angeles: Cas. W. Palm Co., 1894. First edition.. 478pp. Small 8vo. Full leather, spine lettered in gilt on a black label. Upper cover nearly loose, spine worn and only part of lower label intact, some scribbling on first few leaves, very good otherwise. Ownership signature of H.G.W. Dinkelspiel on inner covers (presumably Henry George Washington Dinkelspiel, Lawyer, California Legislature 1890-98). Not common in the first edition; a second edition was published in 1899.
