Original cloth much faded and worn at the spine ends, joints weak, a shabby copy but enhanced by a signed autograph letter from Harris to MRS. CLAIRE MACMILLAN, with a stamped addressed envelope, postmarked from Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, dated March 17th. 1916 - '.......... this is an error of Mitchell's really. I understood he was giving me Monaghan's books hoping I'd review them in a the Forum. Daly has also asked me to do this. I wd. n't buy the Flea's books for anything ; I - well there ! Insult added to injury as the girl said when she lost her. - Ever Yours Frank Harris. Letter and envelope both tipped onto the front paste-down plus a photogravure portrait of Harris tipped onto the opposing free end-paper.
