New York: Charles Scribner, 1859. Hardcover. Near Fine. First edition, binding "A." Octavo. 450pp. Embossed brown cloth boards with gilt spine lettering and with contemporary ink gift inscriptions. Very good or better with small tear at the crown, light spine sunning and touch of edgewear. Willis was one of the highest-paid magazine writer of his day, who wrote both prose in and poetry. He was also an noted editor who worked with Edgar Allan Poe and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. This is his final book. BAL 22841.
