An imaginary conversation with the famous writer of fairy tales by an Andersen expert who lets the writer "speak for himself" by referring to various sources for Andersen's remarks , with a foreward by H. Topsoe-Jensen. Decorative boards are clean and sturdy, interior is unmarked but for bookplate on front paste-down, and gift inscription on front free endpaper. 63 pages (handmade paper) with several tipped-in b/w photos of Andersen. Text in Danish and English. Dust jacket shows minor edgewear, including a 1" closed tear at top edge of front panel, else clean and sound. An enlightening "conversation" which provides valuable background for the tales for which Andersen became famous. In English and Danish . Near Fine. Hardcover. Limited/Numbered. 1970.
