Macmillan and Co., London and New York, 1894. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. First American edition. 76 illustrations by Hugh Thompson. Throughout the book, the text is on the left (even numbered page) and an acompanying illustration is on the right (odd numbered page). The volume has a canted spine, is bumped on the spine ends and has a chip (reaching the top of the spine label) and an abrasion on the crown. The spine label is rubbed and mildly toned. The interior is in excellent condition. Laid in is a book plate from the auction house stating this book is from the personal library of Rod McKuen.
