Also inscribed and signed by the illustrator: "Best wishes, Carole Byard. June, 1980." Yarbrough, born in 1938, an actress and producer, known for her role as Dina Greene in "Shaft" (1971), "Cruel Intentions" (1999) and "One Day" (2011). She is best known for the song "Take Yo' Praise." With the author's promotional leaflet for the book laid in. Oblong 8vo., brown boards in dust jacket; unpaginated. Illustrated by Carole Byard.. Very Good (upper two corners of binding a little bumped; contents clean & tight); nice (tiny light stain) d/j.
