About This Item

Montgomery, AL: C. L. Ruth & Son Book. Very Good. Soft cover. 24mo - over 5" - 5¾" tall. Presumed first edition. No date (c. 1890?) 24 mo. Soft cover. A well-mannered Victorian look at wedding ceremonies. Chapters include the history of the engagement ring, breaking the news, setting the date, proper invitations, wedding gifts, wedding attendants, and the details before, during, and after the wedding - stopping just short of giving advice on the honeymoon. Advises against the violent throwing of rice. Nicely designed pages printed in three colors. Paper wraps embellished with gilt title show staining. Very good..
