A handsomely produced book published by Golden Cockerel Press, designed and with 4 wood-engravings by Robert Gibbings. Limited to 600 copies, of which this is No. 141, hand-numbered on the colophon.
Description: Quarter yellow buckram with marbled paper boards, original dust jacket. Octavo: 22.5 × 15.5 cm; pp. [5 (frontispiece, title, dedication)], 56, [2 (colophon)]. Printed from Caslon Old Face on English hand-made paper, all edges uncut.
Ref.: Cave/Manson 57; Chanticleer 57
Condition: Dust jacket with very slight edgewear, a few small stains to front and back of the jacket, spine lightly faded. Boards with minor signs of use. Internally, clean and free of marks. A near fine, clean copy.
