Recent period-style quarter calf over marbled boards, raised bands and gilt fillets, title and publication date to spine, endpapers renewed. Light rubbing to extremities, a few tiny spots to spine. Moderate toning to interior, spark burns and faint stains to a few leaves, headlines, side-notes and catch-words affected in a few places by trimming, moderate edgewear to title page. $500. * Sixth edition, one of three issues, the others two from 1635. This venerable justice of the peace manual went through some twenty editions between 1618 and 1746.
