About This Item
George Barrie & Son, 1899. Hardcover. Good. Good + blue cloth hardcover with pasted on label to spine and gilt top page edges shows rubbing and fading to spine label, light rubbing with faint staining and soil to covers, light soil at end papers, name stamp at front end paper, open chipping with missing pieces stuck to pages opposite where reader did a messy job of separating uncut pages, along with some other light trace wear. 351 pages translated by George Burnham Ives and illustrated with four etchings. Actually, this remains a solid and perfectly readable copy of this edition of the classic work now for the first time completely translated into English.
