Two collections, each of 12 wood engravings, accompanied by an additional small paper portfolio with a set of proofs of all the engravings, all housed in a dark red paper-covered slip case (NB not d/j). This is the edition of 50 copies only, alongside 200 without the proofs set.These small engravings are most attractive examples of Weissenborn's work, published posthumously, and likely engraved in the 1940s following his emigration from Germany to the UK in 1939. Country Scenes 1 is in card covers with fixed brown paper wraps with engraving to front, and features an image for each of the calendar months. Country Scenes 2, in green wraps likewise with engraving, accompanies Rupert Brooke's poem 'The Soldier' (That there's some corner of a foreign field...). All, with additional proofs, in fine condition throughout. Minor mark to slip case. 24mo.
