Boston: James R. Osgood and Company, 1874. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. [1873] 1874. First American edition. Printed November, 1873 with a post-dated title page listing 1874, hence possibly the first edition in English, as the London edition was also issued that month. Very Good with front and rear inner hinges professionally repaired. Shallow chipping to cloth at spine ends, corners lightly rubbed through and a patch of board visible on the bottom edge of the front board, short tear at top of rear joint. Foxing to prelims and terminals, pages toned. A bright copy.
