Authors' preface, prelude, six chaps (five on Civil War, one on Dakota War); endnotes, appendix ("Grand Army of the Dead" - list of Dakota County residents killed in the Civil War, plus photos of monuments to the dead); index. Condition notes: a lovely, like-new, gift-appropriate copy signed by both authors on title page. Light wear to dustjacket with just a touch of smudging to front head; else a handsome and unmarked copy. Valuable resource for those interested in the American Civil War and 1862 Dakota War, their aftermath, and how Dakota County, just south of St. Paul and Minneapolis, was involved. Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in an old farmhouse full of books. Paul had been providing online booksales since 2008 through several popular online sales venues. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
