About This Item
Washington, Pa.: The Washington Bar Association, 1902. Book. Very Good. Cloth. 1st Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Blue/purple cloth with gilt lettering to the front and 4 raised bands and gilt lettering to the spine. Decorative green/speckled gilt EPs.TEG. Other edges deckled. This copy is VG. Exterior has modestly sunned spine, spine bottom with a 1/2" closed tear, light staining to back, and modestly rubbed edges. Inside with both hinges weak, but holding nicely . FFEP has a PO inscription ( Osborne Mitchell, admitted to the bar in 1910 ) denoting his connection to various people named in the book from the 1700's and 1800's, including his grandfather, with corresponding notes in the book where those ancestors are noted.Generously illustrated with photographs, maps, drawings and tables, including a large fold out map of Washington County, Pa. to the rear.Very nice provenance !.
