New York and Cleveland: World Publishing, (1968). First edition. One of 1000 numbered copies. Quarto. xiii, [1], 242 pp. Illustrated throughout and with many in color. Publisher's brown calf with gilt spine lettering, gilt motif of a cattle drive on front, orange endpapers, all edges gilt, slipcase. Bit of flaking to gilt on fore-edge, else a beautiful copy. Inscribed by the dedicatee and author's wife, Kate Ainsworth, to a Charles Curran (and with his signature on top of title page). Signed by 25 of the artists mentioned in this book: Olaf Wieghorst, Burt Proctor, E. B. Quigly, R. Brownell McGrew, Mel Warrren, Bill Bender, N. Eggenhofer, Fred Fellows, Fred Harman, John W. Hampton, Joe Beeler, Gordon Snidow, Henry W. Johnson, Tom Ryan, Bill Moyers, Robert Rishell, Jack Swanson, M. A. Gomez, Ernest Morris, Ace Powell, Robert Wagoner, James Boren, James E. Reynolds, Bob Lee. Two of the artists have appended their signatures to an inscription to book-owner Charles Curran.
