About This Item
Good dj protected in mylar, some loss at edges, edgetoned, closed tears, creases, spine sunned, lightly clipped front flap. Very Good book, spine cocked, minor soiling. ; Maps on endpapers, b/w illustrations. Adam's Herd 1856; Dobie & Dykes 44 & 44 #6: "Mrs. Rak, although a sturdy participant in ranch life and an excellent reporter, writes as a naturalized daughter rather than as a native. Nevertheless, she has made a distinct contribution to the slender list of range books that are faithful to women. She lacks the charm of Clarice E. Richards, in A Tenderfoot Bride, and the lifelong intimacy with the traditions of the land that makes Interwoven, by Sallie Reynolds Matthews, a basic document; but she is more realistic and modern than either."
