About This Item

New York: Warner Books, 1988. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Jim Warren. First Edition / First Printing. Near Fine book in Near Fine jacket; see scans and description. New York: Warner Books, 1988. Octavo, illustrated jacket by Jim Warren, charcoal and black boards, black endpapers, 293 pp. Apparent signature of Clarke at the title page is almost certainly a forgery (see scan). A Near Fine book in a Near Fine jacket; no serious flaws in either case, but enough imperfections to mean not Fine. Books shows some tiny lint and small dust spots, some of those at page edges - all perhaps cleanable - and jacket has small-scale top-edge crinkle (though no tears or chips) and a little rubbing. Jacket is not price-clipped. See scans. The 1988 tale of Floridians who make contact with mechanized beings in a damaged, offshore-submerged spacecraft. One speculation on technological progress. See all scans. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box, of course; not a bag. L10n
