About This Item
NY: The Humanities Press, 1969. Presume 1st . Hardcover. Very Good+/Fair-. Beautifully executed book. Priced in Br. Pounds. Books only actual flaws is the mildest possible bumping, more a matter of the tips shaping in a trifle over time. Lower back corner has bump, small, which has gone thru the tip, exposing a pinhead size area of the material underneath the board's black leatheresque covering. The extensive gilt on spine and cover read perfectly, richly done up. Boards wholly unscuffed and straight, except as noted. Books interior is really handsome, in grays, whites, blacks and shining brass tones. The jacket has 2 major issues, the top 3" or so of the front flap have been scissorred away on the diagonal, the back panel has some notable edgewear and two 2" tears, front flap crease top also edgeworn, still in all, looks dramatically good, sharp, in it's mylar wrapper. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. We assure the buyer that books listed by Brass Dolphin are so described, using the strict, traditional standards.*
