About This Item
Hurst & Co., New York, n.d. (ca. 1900). Good. Lovely little (18mo) gift edition with exquisite color miniature painting of snow scene on medallion placed on embossed brown and white front board; lettering blind stamped in white, but most of white has worn off. Little shelf wear--slight bumping to corners and faint rubbing at crown and foot of spine; area of slight discoloration at one spot on back board; spine sunned in absence of d.j. Binding firm. 316 p., immaculate and unmarked except for name of former owner on front end page and two tiny smudges there. Tiny open tear on lower edge t.p., obviously snipped out with scissors. Frontis. portrait of the author, who was as beautiful as she was talented.
