History and topography of the north-west area of Yorkshire. 470pp with index, illustrated with tissue-guarded full page views and many other black and white photographs to the text plus original fold-out map to frontis. Includes a list of the inhabitants of Craven and bordering districts taken from the 1379 poll tax returns. Gilt lettering and black illustration to top board, faded gilt lettering to spine. Fore-edges trimmed. Some bumping and rubbing to spine and corners, edges age-toned and dusty and 2" tear to margin of map, (text unaffected) otherwise good copy.
