Published, June 15, 1925 - First and Second Printings Before Publication - in original unclipped vintage dust jacket. Very clean gray buckram cloth boards with green stamped lettering on cover and spine. No bumping, fading or wear. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Clean endpapers - no names, writing or marks. Decorations by Herb Roth. 246 pages + publisher's advertising at rear of book. Dust jacket is not price clipped (2.00 on front inside flap), clean, with nice photograph of author on rear panel, some chipping at top and bottom spine edges and along top front and rear panel edges. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. This is a story about a crazy fool named Charlie hatch, who inherited an insane asylum from his uncle. Napoleonwas in the insane asylum, and Edison, and a lady who part of the time was Venus, and part of the time, Miss B. C. Tompkins, of Hartford. All of you will recognize some of your acquaintances among the inmates; perhaps your next door neighbor, or your landlord, or maybe your husband or wife. Some of you may even recognize yourselves. There is also a love story and a romance!.
