London, Longman, Brown, Green and Longmans, 1843 2nd. Three Volumes. Hardback, 9 x 5.5 inches. Half bound calf leather fine binding by “Zaehnsdorf” with light brown cloth to boards boards, raised banding and gilt floral decorations and gilt lettering to spines. Marbled endpapers and gilt top edges to pages. In very good condition. Some areas of minor darkening and rubbing to spines; some rubbing to raised bands and ends. Bottom leading corners bumped on vol.2. Else covers nice and smart. Zaehnsdorf binders stamps to bottom corners of endpapers and “Henry Southeran Ltd” stamped at top corners. Previous owners blind emossed stamp to opposite endpapers “R.R. Fences Farm.” Inside pages all very clean, crisp and tight, no foxing or spots. Else a very good clean and tight set. ix + 490, 503 & 466pp.
