From the personal library of Herbert Robin Cayzer, former shipping magnate and conservative party politician, see bookplate at front. Black and white plates. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Plates are bright and clear. Old price label and previous owner's inscription to front free end paper. Heavy cracking at the hinges with exposed binding material. Binding shaky. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Book has a slight forward lean. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Gilt lettering is darkened. Sunning to spine.
