William Heinemann Ltd., 1938. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1938. First Edition. 426 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth covered boards with gilt lettering. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Ex Libris plate to front pastedown. Minor pencil marking to front free end-paper. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding is shaky. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Cloth covering is slack and wrinkled across the spine and front board. Cup ring to rear board. Moderate tanning to spine. Gilt lettering is darkened. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean.
