About This Item

Sydney: Australian Military History Publications. 2005. Small Quarto Size [approx 17.5cm x 24cm]. Mint condition in pictorial laminated boards. Issued without dustjacket. A new copy. Illustrated with Black and White Photographs and Maps. Robust, professional packaging and tracking provided for all parcels. 611 pages. The 31st Inf Bn has existed in one form or other for over 100 years with its link to North Queensland remaining constant despite numerous reorganisations ad new titles. The author served with the Battalion in the post WW2 years and gained first hand experience of the men and the unit history. This book was originally written by the author as a series of 10 "Historic Journals" and compiled into this 100 year history of the unit. Unfortunately he died before the project (the book) began and never saw his thorough research in print. The text has been greatly augmented by many photographs that Mrs Elsie Burla has made available from Bob's collection. . New. 1st Edition. Hardback.
