Jonathan Cape, London, 1980. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Rene Eyre -- Cover Art. 284pp., last blank, author's note. Dark blue boards with gilt writing on the spine. A little scuffing to the head and to the heel of the spine along with some discolouration. Very slight browning and dust marked to the top paper edge and there are a few odd marks to the book panels. Illustrated dustwrapper, by Rene Eyre, with white writing on the front panel and spine, authors photograph on the rear panel. The dustwrapper is rubbed, and quite faded on the back panel. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the top spine edge. On the front panel, lower right-hand corner there has been a rough removal of a sticker. Dustwrapper is priced clipped, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. A novel set amongst the Parsi community. Author's first book. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
