Front hinge exposed but secure. Inscription on one of endpapers. A funeral notice for John Platt, the dedicatee of the book, has been tipped-in at the front of the book. Includes many engravings of native peoples, vegetation, sailing cenes, and views of Bermuda, Basse Terre, St. Kitt's, Nevis, St. Pierre, Martinique, Trinidad, Curacao, Jamaica, Havana, Cuba, St. Augustine, and Florida. Frontispiece. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 441 pp.
