About This Item
Boston: Boston Book & Art Shop, 1968. Revised American Edition.
Important reference work on Cubism by John Golding (1929-2012). The book was first published in 1959; this American edition appeared in 1968. Golding says he may have been unfair in the first edition when assessing some of the minor artists who dabbled in Cubism. Here he says he has "softened" some of his judgments.
PHYSICAL DETAILS: Small Quarto (10 x 7 1/2 inches; 253 x 190 mm), 208 pages plus around 100 monochrome plates at the end of the book, in gray cloth binding, title to spine, in an unclipped, illustrated dust jacket (hard cover).
CONDITION: A few examples of pencil underlinings in text. Very Good or better in a Very Good dust jacket that has some sunning to extremities, creasing, and small tears.
