Schultz (1902-1998), winner of the 1979 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences jointly with W. A. Lewis. Signed in ink on the front endpaper "From JPE via G. Stigler Dec. 14, 1973 [signed] T. W. Schultz." Schultz has added numerous ink comments, notes and underlining throughout the text. A few pages are rough at the edges, where they were likely uncut and carelessly opened..
