London: Virtue & Co, 1867. New Edition. Quarter Leather. Very good. New Edition, corrected and enlarged, of Curiosities of London by John Timbs, published around 1867.. Thick octavo, vii, [3], 871pp. Three-quarter red morocco, marbled boards, title in gilt over black label. Marbled endpapers, marbled leaf ends. Rear hinge starting, but stable. Small bookseller's label on front endpaper. Text block solid, clean. Complete with frontispiece and vignette title page, and 5 full-page steel engravings. Publication date from preface statement by the author, dated December, 1867. First published in 1855.
