Good condition, hardcover, original green cloth with decorative device in gilt on upper cover showing two figures: a male and female in the water holding a large shell, title, author and publisher's name in gilt on spine (mild shelf wear to top and bottom of spine, and marks on back cover, all not affecting contents), index.
A description of "strange things" that includes, among many: "Amazons," "Pygmies," "Giants," "Wild Men," "Hairy Men," "The Centaur," "Woolly Hens," "Four Footed Duck," "The Kraken," and "The Sea Serpent."
