Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Illustrated paper over boards, signed by Edward Gorey as Ogdred Weary, his anagrammed pseudonym, on title page. This is a stated first printing of the 1980 re-issue. Corners and spine ends lightly worn, light staining on end papers, bit of a tobacco smell. In an illustrated, price-clipped dust jacket that has light foxing on inner flaps, has some wear at extremities, some toning, has been preserved in a Brodart jacket. Quantity Available: 1.
