Her letters are as simple, direct, and unrestrained as his. They tell of life in a Southern mansion, in a wilderness cabin, and a Washington hotel. They record with almost naive truthfulness the undertones and nuances of personal political loyalties rarely expressed by historians. A clean very presentable copy.
