About This Item

London: Printed for A. Seile NONE [NONE] 1668. (hardcover) 1-157; [1], 159-547pp. Very good. Folio. The life of William Laud (b. October 7, 1573, d. January 10, 1645). Bound in full leather, with a contemporary repair and collation in two parts. Raised bands, bright gilt decoration. Title, in gilt, stamped to spine is 'Life of William Laud'. Original boards are rubbed and scuffed. Internally, the pages, while waved and lightly age toned as may be anticipated, remain clean and bright with surprisingly little spotting and foxing present. Lacks errata; otherwise, may be considered, given its age, to be a near fine to fine copy..
